As a team leader specialising in ground movement analysis, you will collaborate with structural engineers on a portfolio of major developments across the country.
You will work closely with colleagues to deliver integrated ground investigations, interpretative reports, and geotechnical design advice for a variety of projects, including tall towers, deep basements, retaining walls, ground improvement, and earthworks. Utilising both national and local resources, you'll be a key player in enhancing a resilient and technically strong national virtual team.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design management for geotechnical aspects of projects, ensuring competence, effectiveness, budget adherence, and timely delivery
  • Performing geotechnical analysis and data interpretation using FEM 2D and 3D
  • Critically appraising sites based on available data to highlight key geotechnical design considerations
  • Preparing interpretative geotechnical reports
  • Undertaking tunnel and other third-party asset assessments
  • Reporting to the National Service Line Lead for Geotechnics and Regional Director
  • Sharing project work nationally and training/mentoring the national technical team as directed by the NSL UK lead


Job Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer, preferably with a degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and a Master's in Geotechnics
  • Proficient in using PLAXIS 2D and 3D, PDISP, XDISP, WALLOP, and SETTLE 3D
  • Sound understanding of geotechnical principles in structural design, particularly in central London projects
  • Strong track record with projects in central London, including tall towers and deep basements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and developing relationships nationally
  • Ability to work closely with structural engineers and respond to geotechnical queries
  • Attention to detail and strong team-playing abilities
