Our client, a prominent player in the rail sector, is currently seeking a Contractor Engineering Manager (CEM) to join their dynamic team for a six-month initial contract. This contract position falls outside IR35 regulations and presents an opportunity to work with a company boasting a growing work bank and a reputation for excellence in rail infrastructure projects.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and agreeing engineering processes and deliverables for projects
  • Preparing and managing design reviews
  • Arranging and attending meetings with colleagues, design teams, clients, and associated third parties
  • Reviewing documentation, including Task Briefs (TB's), Work Package Plans (WPP's), and design specifics


Job Requirements:

  • Experience as a CEM on rail infrastructure projects
  • Strong engineering management skills
  • Ability to effectively develop and agree on engineering processes and deliverables
  • Proficiency in preparing and managing design reviews
  • Competence in arranging and participating in meetings with various stakeholders
  • Experience in reviewing detailed documentation
  • Sentinel competency
  • Degree in an engineering discipline
  • Previously held CEM status
