Site Engineer

First People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor committed to delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions across a range of projects, including substations, highways, bridges, tunnels, and rail station infrastructure.

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer to join a fast-paced and dynamic civils project environment. You will be integral in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
• Interpret and implement technical drawings and specifications, delivering projects according to design plans and timelines.
• Set out and survey works on-site, managing the work of subcontractors and engineers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily diaries and documentation.
• Order materials and manage site logistics, assisting in weekly site planning and Risk Assessments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer, with strong setting out skills and a solid understanding of surveying principles.
• Ability to accurately interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing on-site dimensional control and supervising labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated expertise in maintaining detailed progress and quality control records.
• Familiarity with weekly planning for site work, including managing associated documentation like Inspection Test Plans and Work Package Plans.
