Senior Signalling Technician

Location - Glasgow

Salary - 30,459 + a roster premium of 35% (Total earnings of 41,119.65)

A Senior Signalling Technician is required to join a rail contractor working in Glasgow. You will be supporting the Signalling Team Leader by assisting with signalling disconnections and reconnections, signal maintenance testing as well as SMTH testing. Following the instructions, you will carry out associated duties in a safe and compliant manner, ensuring the relevant paperwork is completed within the required time scales. As part of the role, you will also be required to undertake COSS duties and use power tools. This role is on a roster of 140 hours over 4 weeks and your hours will vary within this. There is a requirement to work nights and weekends (2 weekends out of 4), therefore flexibility is crucial in this role.

The successful Senior Signalling Technician will have previous experience in rail signalling, with knowledge and understanding of the signalling system installations and maintenance. You will have a valid SMTH competency required for Signal Maintenance Testing and excellent ability to use hand and powered tools. As you will be carrying out safety critical duties, your COSS competency must also be valid. UK Driving licence is essential as there is a requirement of working at different sites.
