Project Engineer - Contract Role in Glasgow

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer for an exciting contract position based in Glasgow. This role is pivotal within the Transmission and Distribution sector, specifically focusing on Substations. The successful candidate will spearhead project design and procurement phases, acting as the primary liaison with clients to drive project success within specified timelines and budgets. This position not only requires technical prowess but also a strategic orientation and proactive communication to align project objectives with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of project design and procurement from inception to completion, ensuring that all project milestones are achieved with precision and efficiency.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all specifications are met and that client satisfaction is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project risks, quality control, and documentation, applying rigorous methodologies to monitor and report on project progress.
  • Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines and project timelines, implementing cost-effective strategies to maximize resources and deliver value.
Skills and Expertise:
  • Project Management: Ability to oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring effective management of timelines, costs, and risks. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects.

  • Risk Management: Experience in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks during the project lifecycle. Proven ability to develop and implement robust risk mitigation strategies.
