Morgan Hunt are recruiting a static Maintenance Technician for a temporary vacancy.We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Maintenance Technician, this role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of maintenance operations supporting a large scientific institute.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across our facility. Ensuring all services are operational and efficient.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of specialist contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Undertake a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks, including plumbing, minor electrical work, and building fabric repairs.
  • Manage and resolve help desk tickets from the Building Management System, ensuring prompt attention to any building-related issues.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in building services maintenance, with a focus on mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in working with and managing subcontractors.
  • Ability to work effectively within a small, close-knit maintenance team.
  • Sound knowledge of safe working practices in a maintenance environment.
  • IT literate, with the ability to work with systems and manage maintenance tickets.
  • A flexible, proactive attitude, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • A broad range of general trade skills to address various building service issues.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with Trend Building Management Systems.
  • Experience with plumbing or steam plant operations and maintenance.

This role is initially for a 4 week period, but could be extended. 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Immediate start available.
