PipefitterPermanent PositionGlasgow - In either Scotstoun or Govan£37,318kWe are looking to for a Pipefitter to join the business and fabricate and install pipework systems and utilities, to deliver the best product to our customers.It is an exciting time for you to join us, as our shipbuilding business is growing and you will operate in a new, innovative, and competitive environment.Your main responsibilities would be -Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni and carbon steel)Using a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder and weld pipesInstalling utilities aboard ship i.e., sinks, showers, and toilets.Essential skills we are looking for -Trade papers, e.g., formal apprenticeship (ability to provide papers)Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture and installation, and use of associated equipmentClear understanding of SHE risks awarenessUnderstanding of manufacturing processesMust be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at heightPossessing these would be an advantage -Safety certification i.e., SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height etcBackground in a major construction / manufacturing environment.
