This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer at Senior/Principal/Associate level to take the next step in their career. Due to the nature of work you must be able to obtain SC clearance. Role
- Lead the electrical design for building services projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and reports.
- Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Develop strong client relationships and represent the company at client meetings and presentations.
- Provide support in project management, including resource allocation, risk management, and project reporting.
Qualifications / Experience
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards Chartered status.
- Extensive experience in electrical design engineering within the building services sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarms, security, and data systems.
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
- In-depth understanding of UK building regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
- Proven experience in managing projects and client relationships.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
