Accounts Receivable Manager

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager who will be responsible for managing, coaching, and developing the Receivables Team, and ensuring the delivery of an efficient and professional Financial Operations service. This role is pivotal in maintaining a strong financial internal control environment and enhancing service delivery through strategic planning and team development.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the service delivery of the Receivables team, ensuring optimal resource utilisation to meet KPIs and SLAs.
  • Utilise management information to ensure the team can react and deliver as required, maintaining a strong financial control environment.
  • Develop and review team KPIs and SLAs, and contribute to the development of payment strategies and related controls.
  • Build and enhance team capabilities through training, effective capacity planning, and updating standard operation procedures annually.
  • Manage line responsibilities, providing analysis, evaluation, and reporting on transactional activities to enhance service performance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to support development, communicate new initiatives, and encourage team contribution.
  • Provide specialist financial compliance advice and maintain effective communication networks with key stakeholders within and outside the Finance Operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and financial control.
  • Contribute to year-end processing and strategic planning of key tasks and transactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of financial processes, financial sanctions, anti-money laundering guidelines, and GDPR.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a diverse team.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and networked systems.
  • Experience in reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts, with strong analytical skills to manage complex financial data.
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and making informed decisions.
