Reed Finance is working with a client based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager. This is a newly created position due to the growth of the business. The role takes ownership of external reporting for the group in line with plc requirements and production of the monthly board finance pack.

We are searching for a technical accountant, ideally with a practice background who has since moved on to industry, working in a financial reporting focused role. Candidates with a strong financial reporting background without the practice background will also be considered. Our client offers hybrid working with three days in the office and two days working from home.

The main responsibilities the position entails are:

  • Preparation of the group’s annual report and half year interim accounts, which are prepared under IFRS
  • Monthly consolidation of the group’s results
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Directly manage the group accountant
  • Responsible for documenting and improving financial controls
  • Various ad-hoc projects

To be considered for the role, you must possess the following:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CA)
  • Strong financial reporting experience
  • Ideally a practice background
  • Strong analytical skills
