Position Overview - Banking Associate (Global Law Firm) On behalf of my client, a leading global law firm, I am are seeking a highly motivated Senior Banking Associate to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a broad range of clients, including prominent lenders and borrowers. You will play a key role in complex lending transactions, representing a diverse range of funders such as banks, insurers, and debt funds, as well as some of Scotland’s largest corporates. In addition, this role offers the chance to engage in business development and marketing initiatives, providing a well-rounded career growth experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Working on a variety of finance transactions, representing both lenders and borrowers.
  • Acting for a broad spectrum of clients, including major banks, insurers, debt funds, and corporates.
  • Involvement in all aspects of lending, from structuring to closing transactions.
  • Active participation in the firm’s business development and marketing initiatives.

Candidate Profile My Client is seeking candidates with between two and seven years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in general banking law, either under Scots or English law. The ideal candidate will bring:
  • Strong experience in corporate banking, gained within a private practice setting.
  • A solid understanding of current trends and developments in finance law.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple transactions.
