Meraki Talent are engaged on an excellent permanent Finance Director role within the central belt of Scotland paying £120,000 - £130,000 plus a strong benefits package including bonus, profit share & potential equity options.

The OpportunityThe company has a unique portfolio of entrepreneurial businesses across a variety of different highly exciting and topical sectors. The role will provide Finance Director consultancy to these businesses ensuring they are equipped to survive and thrive within the modern business world & economic climate.It will also have complete ownership of internal infrastructure. It’s imperative the successful individual is passionate about people management/development and stakeholder engagement.The key components of the role will include:

External

  • Finance Director consultancy including Board reporting and influencing strategy & direction through highly insightful commercial management reporting
  • Advising on high profile and value projects - M&A, integration, vertical market growth, local & international expansion etc.
  • Providing budgetary, forecasting and FP&A support
  • Ensuring adherence with statutory accounting, returns, compliance & governance requirements
  • Maximising efficiency and automation through reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems

Internal

  • People - resourcing, hiring, training, developing & performance management
  • Networking - building and maintaining reciprocal relationships, new business tenders & proposals
  • Commercial activity - pricing, KPI setting and monitoring, P&L management, SLA management
  • Infrastructure management - IT, branding/marketing, risk, compliance, governance

Candidate ProfileWe are keen to engage with candidate that meet the below ESSENTIAL criteria:

  • Qualified Accountant with 7 years+ post qualification experience
  • Qualified within an Accountancy Practice/Firm - Business Advisory, Audit, Corporate Finance, Outsourced Finance
  • Operated at Finance Director level within industry
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Located or willingness to relocate within central belt of Scotland

On OfferThe position of Finance Director is located within the central belt of Scotland which can be located in offices based in either the East or West of Scotland. The role will also offer:
