An exciting opportunity is available for an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant to serve as a Finance Manager/Financial Controller in a well-established manufacturing business.
The ideal candidate should possess strong management accounting skills, a commercial focus, and a hands-on approach while being able to manage and mentor a small team.
The role involves overseeing the finance department's daily operations, ensuring sufficient cash resources, and preparing monthly management accounts to meet Group deadlines.
Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a salary offered in the range of £50,000 to £65,000 per annum.
The position requires collaboration with senior management to provide financial analysis and advice, particularly regarding capital investments and pricing decisions.

Exciting opportunity has arisen for an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant to work as a Finance Manager / Financial Controller for well-established manufacturing business. A strong management accountant who is commercially focussed and a 'hands on' approach are key as well as the ability to manage and mentor a small team.

The role reports and works closely with a dynamic Managing Director and has a dotted line into the Divisional Finance Director.

Core duties include:

Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the finance department
Ensure that the Company’s cash resources are sufficient
Prepare and publish monthly management accounts to Group deadlines.
Provide analysis on overhead/costing/sales/margin performance and using this to instigate improvement activities.
Assist in preparation of annual budget.
Ensure that Management Reporting is supported by suitable detailed budgets and forecasts and comparisons with budget and prior periods.
Quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
Ensure that the Company’s internal controls are suitable, effective, and operational.
Overseeing tax issues in relation to PAYE,NI and VAT and ensuring compliance.
Work closely with the senior management team to provide analysis and financial advice in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations.
Ensure that the Company’s cost tables for pricing, stock valuation, and customer profitability are up to date and relevant.
