Reed Finance is working with a key client based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Head of Finance. This is a newly created position due to the growth of the company, reporting directly to the Finance Director.

As a senior manager you will ensure the provision of a strategic, professional, effective and solution focused finance service is delivered and aligns to the achievement of the company’s strategy. You will provide leadership and management to the project finance team, to develop and oversee detailed business plans and projects.

The main responsibilities the position entails are:

  • Directly manage the project finance team with three direct reports
  • Promote a continuous improvement approach, delivering a culture of ownership and accountability to enhance the service delivery and financial awareness
  • Work closely with numerous senior stakeholders to provide expert analysis in order to support decision making and development of the organisation’s strategy
  • To oversee and lead on project work. This includes leading initiatives involving internal teams and external advisors to deliver strategic company wide projects related to process improvement and implementation of the organisation’s strategy
  • To actively contribute and participate in project meetings and working groups to provide specialist financial support and advice to project boards as required

In order to be considered for the role, you must possess the following:

  • Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS)
  • Previous direct management experience
  • A background in a finance business partner or project accounting role would be ideal
