The successful candidates responsibilities will include supporting and analysing key contracts serving internal and external reporting requirements, ensuring tasks are delivered safely, on time, to specification and within an agreed budget. Description
The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:
- Work with head of department to develop and build the reporting and financial management of key contracts to support KPI delivery at strategic level.
- Support the Head of Finance to drive improved delivery, utilisation and efficiency of finance processes and resources with indirect management of a small finance team.
- Develop a framework of reporting with the delivery teams to understand contract performance and to coordinate and review against expected contract outturn.
- Work to enhance business wide understanding of the contract's key performance indicators as part of the periodic reporting cycle to inform better business decisions.
- Build strong strategic internal relationships with HoD's to ensure operational improvements and BAU meets business requirements.
- Driving effective communication and ensuring timely and effective communication with key stakeholders.
- Lead on business forecasting, with an active role in setting targets on costs, savings, opportunities etc. in line with contracted financial targets.
- Assisting, supporting and enabling senior management to make informed financial and operational decisions, both short and long term and providing financial support to the business as and when required
- Lead on continuous improvement of departmental and finance information processes through seeking to develop best practise and collaborate with peers, colleagues and customers to enhance overall performance.
- Lead and motivate all the Finance staff to deliver the main objective and purpose, identifying knowledge gaps and seeking to improve the overall capability and efficiency of the finance team.
- Leading on adhoc project work to support the team as and when required.
- Ensure a proactive, solution focussed approach to the development and implementation of change initiatives.
- Work with the Commercial department to update the Working at Risk register and feed the financials into the monthly billing (AFP) to the customer.
Profile
A successful Senior Finance Business Partner should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic financial insight and guidance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- High level of proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
Job Offer
This role offers a competitive salary between £55,000-£60,000 plus great wider benefits.
