Role responsibilities
- Managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients including self-assessment, HNWIs, landlords and directors
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and advising clients on liabilities
- Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, residence and domicile issues
- Supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and ensuring full compliance
- Building strong, long-lasting client relationships based on trust and technical insight
- Overseeing junior team members, offering support and mentoring
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and sharing knowledge across the team

Candidate requirements
- Extensive experience in personal tax, ideally within an accountancy practice
- ATT, CTA or CA qualification is desirable but not essential
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of private clients independently
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax issues and legislation
- Excellent communication skills and a relationship-focused approach
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
