Role responsibilities

  • Managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients including self-assessment, HNWIs, landlords and directors
  • Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and advising clients on liabilities
  • Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, residence and domicile issues
  • Supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and ensuring full compliance
  • Building strong, long-lasting client relationships based on trust and technical insight
  • Overseeing junior team members, offering support and mentoring
  • Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and sharing knowledge across the team

Candidate requirements

  • Extensive experience in personal tax, ideally within an accountancy practice
  • ATT, CTA or CA qualification is desirable but not essential

  • Excellent communication skills and a relationship-focused approach
