We are recruiting for Asbestos Lab Analysts for a privately owned, UKAS accredited Asbestos outfit. Due to company growth, there are a couple of positions available, so this is a great opportunity for candidates to join an efficient and growing team. Our client can offer further training and development opportunities for enthusiastic and hardworking candidates. Prospective candidates will be required to commute daily to the laboratory.
Candidates will ideally need to be placed around: Glasgow, Hamilton, Cambuslang, Rutherglen, Uddingston, Bargeddie, Giffnock, Paisley, Renfrew, Motherwell, Barrhead, Neilston, Blantyre, Bellshill, Uddingston, Finneston, Kilmarnock and Erskine
Experience / Qualifications:
- P401 BOHS (or RSPH equivalent) is essential to the role
- Experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst for a well-established company
- Working knowledge of industry guidelines
- Organised and efficient work ethic
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
The Role:
- Completing bulk analysis of suspected asbestos containing materials through PLM and microscopy
- Calibrating laboratory equipment
- Issuing certificates to clients and logging results within internal databases
- Participating in internal quality checks and AIMS
- Overseeing the upkeep of the laboratory
