Job Opportunity: Disease Solicitor - Defender
Location:Â Glasgow
Overview:Â We are seeking an experienced solicitor to join a growing Disease team in Glasgow. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of pre-litigated and litigated disease cases (Defender) for both insured and uninsured clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting forensic reviews and analyses of documents, liability, quantum and causation
- Drafting advice, court documents, and preparing witness statements
- Liaising with clients, conducting site visits, and assisting in business development initiatives
Experience Required:
- Qualified solicitor with experience in litigation, particularly in disease cases
- Familiarity with appearing in the Sheriff court and acting as instructing agent in the Court of Session
- Proficiency in handling complex claims and providing practical, commercial advice
- Excellent communication and forensic skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Experience in time recording and working independently as well as part of a team
