About the role:
Astute's Renewables team is partneredwith an electric vehicle (EV) charge point installer and independent connection provider (ICP) who have a large order book and diverse client base across the UK. We're looking to recruit a Head of Commercial and Estimating to help cover the Glasgow area.
The Head of Commercial and Estimating role comes with a salary of up to 90,000 and company car, private health care and fuel card.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to a Chief Commercial Officer you will:
- Ensure high performance across the estimating and commercial teams, providing mentoring and development.
- To meet projects deadlines, the successful candidate will allocate resources effectively.
- Complete regular performance analysis of the teams and provide constructive feedback.
- To support with preparation of cost estimates (labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs)
- Promote best practise and implement new processes.
- Ensure complete compliance in line with industry regulations.
- Analyse market trends and competitive activities.
- Develop long term business relationships with clients, engineers and suppliers.
- Managing the estimation department budgets.
- Monitor project costs and budgets.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveyors, Business Administration or related field.
- 10 years' experience in construction estimating
- 4 years' experience within a leadership role
- Understanding of ProEst, Bluebeam and PlanSwift
Personal skills:
The Head of Commercial and Estimating role would suit someone who is/has:

- Able to communicate effectively and maintain and build strong, lasting relationships
- Work to tight deadlines and perform under pressure
- Excellent organisation
