Hours: Full Time - would consider Part Time for the right candidate

We are seeking a Consent Manager to join the Dogger Bank D Consents Team to support the team in delivery implementation of the Habitat Regulations Assessments including matters relating to derogation and compensation for offshore habitats. We are seeking support on a full-time basis but would consider part-time roles for the right candidate.

Ideally the candidate would have the following experience / skills:

  • A background encompassing implementation of the Habitats Directive is preferable.
  • A background and knowledge in offshore wind and/or offshore/marine ecology is desirable.
  • Experience of application of derogation under HRA and development and implementation of compensatory measures is desirable.
  • Experience of consenting and preferably a good understanding of NSIP/DCO and Marine Licensing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative approach when addressing consenting issues coupled with a solution minded outset.
  • Skills to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A commercial approach to work, challenging colleagues, stakeholders and contractors to manage risk, achieve viable solutions to consenting issues and support overall project objectives.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce high quality work to deadlines and work flexibly to respond to changing priorities.
  • Work effectively both independently, and as part of the Dogger Bank and wider SSE Renewables team, deputising for senior colleagues and engaging in strategic discussions on complex technical and environmental issues.
