Walker Cole International is seeking a Microbiology Team Leader to join a leading Pharmaceutical organisation. This full-time, permanent position is based in the Greater Glasgow area, and offers an excellent opportunity to oversee microbiology laboratories and drive compliance in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO9001/13485 requirements.

Key Responsibilities as the Microbiology Team Leader:

  • Oversee the management of microbiology laboratories, ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO13485, and other relevant standards.
  • Manage and develop a team of microbiologists, providing training and ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Lead investigations into Atypical, Out of Specification (OOS), and Non-Conforming work, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA's) to meet business KPIs.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert during external inspections and internal audits.

To be successful in your application for the Microbiology Team Leader position, you will have the following expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of GMP regulations and microbiological testing according to Pharmacopeia standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
  • A BSc in Microbiology or equivalent qualification.
