Brightwork recruitment are currently looking for an experienced multi skilled technician to join our client based in Blantyre.

The position forms part of the Blantyre production team and is a multi skilled role covering a number of functions within the team:

Specific duties

Responsible for operating production line as part of a team.
To respond to specific requests for basic engineering, repairs and maintenance throughout the Blantyre facility.
3rd party supplier management for complex engineering tasks
To minimise production line down time through an effective system of planned maintenance and prompt corrective actions in the event of breakdowns.
To respond quickly to breakdowns.
To ensure full documentation and records are maintained in respect of maintenance and breakdowns.
To recommend appropriate courses of action for line improvements and manage the implementation of new equipment in conjunction with suppliers and manufacturers.

Ideal candidate

Experience in working in a food manufacturing environment (Essential)
Mechanical & Electrical engineering experience (Essential)
Basic welding qualifications and experience (Essential)
Microsoft Office skills (Desirable)
Full driving license (Essential)
