My Client, a specialist UK based Environmental Consultancy who specialise in Hydrology, Ecology and Environmental Management, is searching for a Principal Hydrologist to join a supportive team in Glasgow.

Candidates are required to have vast technical experience spanning hydrology, hydrogeology, EIA and peat restoration and have achieved or are close to achieving chartered status. Candidates are also required to have a keen interest in managing teams and mentoring team members.

This exciting opportunity will offer you the chance to join and manage a friendly team in Glasgow to complete varied Hydrological, Hydrogeological, EIA and Peat Restoration Projects for Residential, Commercial and Renewable Energy Projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities, Energy Companies and Water Companies.

You will be expected to complete technical work including;

-Produce and manage EIA chapters and their supporting appendices such as GWDTE Assessments.

-Private Water Supply Assessments.

-Watercourse Crossing Surveys.

-Peat Management Plans.

-Peat Hazard Landslide Risk Assessments.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications.

-Drainage Impact Assessments.

-Hydrological Assessments.

-Drainage Modelling using Infodrainage.

-Water Quality Assessments.

-Pollution Prevention Plans.

-Peat Assessments and Peat Surveys for Windfarms.

-Peat Management Plans.

-Team management and mentoring.
