We are currently looking for a Vehicle Sales Executive to join our AVC team at our Uddingston depot.

AVC, as part of the Wm Armstrong Group, is a well-established company with a strong presence in the North of England, Cumbria, Scottish Borders and Central Scotland. Our company ethos is all about placing our customers and colleagues at the heart of everything we do, and this has allowed the business to flourish over many years. We are currently embarking on a phase of significant growth over the next 3-5 years. This includes committed investment in its vehicle sales, service, and parts division. The product portfolio includes Maxus and Isuzu brands which are well respected in the market, with an existing loyal customer base. We are now looking for a Vehicle Sales Executive to join our team to drive and support the anticipated growth.

We are looking for a well organised, motivated individual to drive new sales opportunities and develop growth within Central Scotland, creating a positive customer experience that results in building the brands we work within and obtaining repeat sales and customer referrals.

The hours for this role will be 40 hours per week Monday Friday.

Responsibilities

To communicate and liaise with customers via telephone, email and face to face.

Negotiate with customers to finalise sales of the vehicles.

To be fully aware of all relevant sales and technical data associated with the available range.

Arranging test-drives and accompanying customers on these tests.

To appraise part-exchange vehicles in a professional manner and agree valuation with Sales Manager.

To comply with all laid down routines and procedures including completing all order forms and other paperwork promptly and accurately.

After delivery, to carry out follow up calls to ensure that the customer is completely satisfied and to obtain repeat sales and customer referrals.

Maintain effective consultation and information with the wider Team and other departments.

Explore areas where further opportunities can be realised.

Requirements

Previous experience within a sales/business development environment essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Professional approach to customer care and relationships

Self-motivated, able to work without close supervision, and able to use your own initiative.

Ability to work under pressure, both individually and as part of a team.

Ability to ensure that targets are met both individually and as part of a team.

Flexible approach to work demands, including some evening and weekend work.

Must be proficient in using Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
