Job Title: Commercial Heating Engineer (Gas Bias) - Scotland Central Belt
Location: Scotland Central Belt (with occasional wider Scotland travel)
Salary: Up to 20.50 per hour / 42,640 per year (flexible for the right candidate) + Paid travel time (D2D at overtime rates) + Standby 1 in 5 + 23 days holiday (increasing with service) + Bank Holidays + Pension + Excellent Benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Standby / Call Out: 1 in 5

Are you an experienced Commercial Heating Engineer looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled and motivated engineer to join one of the UK's leading facilities management companies, working across the Central Belt of Scotland and occasionally beyond.
About the Role: As a Commercial Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial heating systems across various sites, including:


  • Care Homes

  • High Street Stores

  • Gyms

  • Garden Centres

  • Hospitality Venues

  • And more!


You will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of heating systems in a range of commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.

  • Acting as the first line of response for all maintenance requirements.

  • Ensuring all technical and compliance paperwork is accurately completed and up to date.

  • Servicing and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment, including boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs, and FCUs.

  • Safely working with 3-phase and single-phase electrical applications.

  • Carrying out surveys and providing reports as required by management.


Qualifications & Experience: Essential:


  • ACS Gas Certifications: COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1, TPCP1A

  • ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications


The Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Have experience in a similar mobile role, traveling between locations.

  • Be confident in liaising directly with customers and on-site management teams.

  • Have the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Possess a hands-on, can-do attitude with a flexible approach to work.

  • Hold a Full UK Driving License (as this is a mobile role).
