Are you a dynamic HR professional looking for a leadership role in a globally recognised consultancy?

Reed is working with an international engineering consultancy business who are seeking an HR Shared Services Team Lead to guide their dedicated team in delivering exceptional HR services.

As a leader in global engineering, management, and development, your work will directly contribute to improving society. This role offers the unique opportunity to manage HR Shared Services across two key sites, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment with key company values.

The main responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Working alongside HRSS Manager to continuously develop the shared service centre.
  • Oversee and enhance customer-focused administrative and operational function that meets SLAs and KPIs.
  • Developing and training a skilled HRSS team, driving performance through effective leadership to ensure efficiency and quality in the delivery of the HRSSC.
  • Assisting managers with ticketing service for system queries, allocating tickets to correct staff members.
  • Overseeing requests that are logged and checking work of the team to ensure it is to the expected standard.
  • Providing training to the team on systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Supporting, integrating, and editing new processes, in line with UK legislation and company policy.
  • Maintaining process guides and ensuring guides are in place for all services delivered.
  • Supporting wider team with audit requirements.
  • Effectively dealing with any queries escalated to your attention, and ensuring any issues are dealt with in a professional manner.
  • Assisting all customers in a positive, friendly and professional manner, to ensure all enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Motivating and supporting all staff designated to your responsibility, to achieve the targets and performance standards through 1:1s and identifying key training needs.
  • Managing and building relationships with key stakeholder, regularly seeking feedback from them on performance and productivity of the HR service centre.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong understanding of HR processes, statutory requirements, and data protection regulations (ideally within a HR shared services environment).
  • Proven experience managing a team and enhancing performance through coaching and development.
  • Background in a customer-focused environment, ideally with experience working to SLAs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
