The organisation is focused on enhancing the user experience through innovative technology solutions and strategic initiatives.Your new roleAs a Senior Solution Architect, you will report to the Lead Enterprise Architect. Your primary responsibility will be to shape and deliver systems and solutions that align with the needs and objectives of key stakeholders, with a focus on the User Experience. You will design and deliver holistic solutions to business challenges, ensuring the success of transformational technology initiatives and the realisation of the organisation's strategic objectives.What you'll need to succeed

  • Broad range of expertise in technology and its application to business objectives.
  • The ability to work directly with stakeholders across the university and collaborate with colleagues in various departments.
  • Proactively design and deliver effective architectures and design blueprints.
  • Support procurement and solution assessment activities, ensuring balanced and compliant technology decisions.
  • Drive the adoption of key technology-based solutions for Student Experience initiatives.
  • Be an enthusiastic part of the Technology Strategy team, collaborating on innovative solutions.
  • Act as an advocate for the Technology Strategy directorate and Information Services.
  • Maintain effective relationships with suppliers, ensuring value for money and appropriate contractual arrangements.
  • Support the Technology Strategy Team leadership with briefings, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Represent the Technology Strategy Team at internal and external committees, events, and meetings.
  • Take ownership of Architecture Roadmaps and support the overall Architecture Strategy.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to deliver complex architecture solutions.
  • Lead or support the development of system integration requirements and technical designs.
  • Lead or support the development and scoring of requirements in line with procurement and technology strategy.
  • Work with suppliers to design robust solutions considering scalability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
