Meraki Talent are looking to appoint a Legal Advisor on a contract basis.  This pivotal role involves providing expert legal and regulatory advice to a leading bank's non-syndicated business, covering account issuance and third-party issuers across the EMEA region.  As a key contact point for the business, you’ll deliver high-quality advice, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and mitigate legal risks associated with securities issuance.Key Responsibilities
  • Offer legal structuring advice for bespoke securities products.
  • Provide legal risk sign-off for English law-governed securities by participating in business approval committees.
  • Advise on regulatory developments including MiFID II, PRIIPS, BMR, and PD/PR.
  • Prepare high-quality programme issuance documentation (EMTNs, Notes, Warrants, Certificates, and SPV Issuers).
  • Collaborate with structuring teams to ensure advice aligns with regulatory and legal standards.
  • Manage legal risks in accordance to set standards.
  Applicants must be a qualified solicitor, with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate expertise in securities law and documentation, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks across Europe and the UK.  Additionally, applicants should possess exceptional communication skills, and be able to demonstrate strong organisational abilities with a proactive mindset, and the capacity to handle a diverse workload.This is an excellent opportunity to be be part of a dynamic, global team driving innovation in financial services.
