About the Role
Our client, a prestigious and leading law firm, is seeking a qualified solicitor or experienced fee earner with a strong background in Scots Law to join their growing Clinical Negligence team. This renowned firm serves a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, and is expanding its clinical negligence practice to meet increasing demand. You will have the opportunity to manage a range of complex and high-profile cases, working closely with clients to secure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Fee Earner, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims across Scottish jurisdictions.
  • Investigate and assess potential claims, engaging with medical experts to gather evidence.
  • Draft legal documents, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in pre-litigation stages.
  • Prepare cases for trial, working alongside senior team members on high-value, sensitive cases.
  • Provide clear and effective legal advice to clients, maintaining strong client relationships.

What Were Looking For
To be considered for this role, you should:

  • Be qualified in Scots Law with at least 2 years of experience handling Clinical Negligence matters.
  • Have strong experience in managing multi-track cases.
  • Possess excellent client management and communication skills.
  • Be detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Be comfortable managing complex caseloads and working under tight deadlines.
