Description
- Oversee and manage all transportation operations within the Logistics department.
- Coach, develop and lead transport team to deliver high customer service excellence.
- Ensure the safe and timely transportation of goods.
- Collaborate with team members to improve transportation processes and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Manage relationships with transportation providers and vendors.
- Prepare and present transportation reports to senior management.
- Implement strategies to enhance transportation efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
- Ensure vehicle maintenance scheduling.
- Ensure site HSE standards are adhered to.
Profile
A successful Transport Manager should have:
- A CPC certification
- Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or qualified by experience
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using logistics and transportation management software.
- Sound knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
