About us:

Green Cat Contracting is a Civil Engineering Contractor, based in Glasgow, specialising in Balance of plant contracts to serve the Renewable Energy and Contracting markets.

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our team.

The company provides Construction and Project Management Services to clients developing Renewable Energy or other Civil Engineering projects. This includes: Civil & Electrical Design; Project Procurement; Contract Management; Site Supervision; Principle Contractor Role and Project Execution to completion.

GCC requires a Project Manager to join our team, across different sites, and with sister companies within the Green Cat Group.

About the role:

Your role as a Project Manager will be to work collaboratively with our design & construction teams to deliver a portfolio of projects. You will liaise directly and collaborate with the client, project sponsors and key stakeholders when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management duties, including programme and financial management for a portfolio of projects;
  • Maximising project profitability, monitoring project budgets, managing change and
  • anticipating potential problems;
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams in ensuring project delivery to client's requirements;
  • Reviewing studies, concept, preliminary and detailed design;
  • Technical expertise and leadership in civil engineering design on a range of multi-disciplinary
  • projects, whilst mentoring developing junior staff;
  • Responsible for managing client relationships and client satisfaction;
  • Reviewing and checking of technical designs, specifications and reports to ensure
  • compliance with contract requirements
  • Candidate Specification The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
  • Proven project management capability in the delivery of multiple projects;
  • Strong UK experience;
  • Civil Engineering or other relevant degree;
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards (CEng);
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience of managing clients and other project stakeholders;
  • Proactive approach, with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios;
  • Good understanding of contractual issues and risks relating to project delivery

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Formal Qualification in Civil Engineering/Engineering.
  • Expected Job Role Level of Competency; HND, B.Eng or M.Eng.
  • UK Site Experience 5 - 10 Years
  • Project Management Experience 5 years minimum.
  • Willingness to undertake travel across the UK where appropriate.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Experience in relevant field (Civil Engineering)
