Contract Scotland is currently working in partnership with our client, a leading global engineering infrastructure solutions provider, who are seeking a Quality Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, working on highway projects in North Lanarkshire. They are looking to add an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to their team to review and update quality procedures. Attention to detail, adherence to best practices, and the ability to deliver on time are essential.

As a Quality Assurance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance of constructed works with designs and specifications.
  • Reviewing, updating, and implementing new quality procedures.
  • Managing the quality management system and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Producing quality plans and managing quality records.
  • Preparing and conducting quality audits.
  • Collaborating closely with the management team to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensuring all products meet required quality standards.
  • Managing the internal audit system.
  • Identifying, recording, and resolving non-conformances, and coordinating trades and materials to resolve defects.
  • To help the company deliver its commitments and vision to sites to the appropriate standards including ISO 9001 and other relevant schemes.
  • Quality issues and performance to site teams and senior management

 

Applicants must have:

  • Experience providing Quality, Audit, and Assurance support at a Manager or Advisor level on one or more project sites, consistently delivering high-quality service with positive feedback from management and clients.
  • Knowledge of Company Management Systems/ISO 9001 EMS.
  • Preferably degree-qualified, or working towards (or holding) CQI/IRCA membership at an appropriate level (A/P level) or similar.
  • Good knowledge of Quality Management, Audit, and Assurance in Construction, with a willingness to undertake further training as required.
  • Proven experience as a quality professional within a construction or civils contractor.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, due to the level of interaction required.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • CSCS qualifications.
  • Flexibility to work in various locations and occasionally outside of normal working hours.
