Our client are a specialist in providing affordable housing projects across Scotland. They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in their offices in Glasgow. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial efficiency of their affordable housing projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for affordable housing projects
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Manage and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers
- Monitor project progress and control costs to ensure projects are completed within budget
- Perform regular site visits to assess project progress and compliance
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project goals are met
- Provide advice on cost and contractual matters

Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within the main contracting/housing / affordable housing sector
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Excellent budgeting and financial management skills
- Proficient in relevant software and tools
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
