Your new company

Our client is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, and there is some flexibility offered with the hours worked. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with 2 days per week in the office (ideally Monday and Tuesday, but not essentially) and 3 days per week from home. The offices can be accessed easily by public transport.

Your new role

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Finance Assistant will undertake a range of responsibilities. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to; assisting in creating month-end packs, variance analysis, reconciliations, liaison with both financial and non-financial staff (via telephone, email and face to face), reporting for senior management, budget monitoring, project work (e.g. process improvement) and general associated tasks.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience in a similar Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant post is essential. This role may suit a current student of ACCA/CIMA/AAT (although this is not essential) and study support can be offered. You will be an organised individual who can produce effective financial analysis. You must have excellent communicative ability as you will work with a range of stakeholders (both financial and non-financial).
