A growing small business in Glasgow is looking for a Finance Assistant to support its day-to-day financial operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts experience who enjoys a varied role, working closely with both finance and operational teams.
You’ll be responsible for purchase and sales ledger management, reconciliations, invoicing, and general finance administration, ensuring smooth financial processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Processing purchase invoices and managing supplier payments

Raising and issuing sales invoices, ensuring timely payments

Handling bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records

Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting

Managing expense claims and company credit card reconciliations

Supporting month-end processes and liaising with external accountants

Dealing with finance-related queries from suppliers and customers
Required
- Experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
- Knowledge ofpurchase and sales ledger, reconciliations, and invoicing
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Proficiency in Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software (desirable)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
