My client is a maintenance company, with over 30 years history within the garage equipment sector working closely with electro/mechanical equipment. Due to continued growth and work load they are looking to recruit Field Service Engineers to join their engineering team to supply installation, services and repair on a wide range of Electro/Mechanical garage equipment covering Scotland.

Field Service Engineer

Location: Scotland

£30,000 - £34,000 Salary, Depending on Experience. Company van, over time, door to door travel, tablet, phone, work wear, death in service, and 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Overtime paid at 1.5 and 2.0.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Carrying out diagnostics, repairs and installations on a wide range of equipment including vehicle lifts, brake testers and gas analysers.
  • Completing and submitting paperwork correctly complying with quality systems.
  • Ensuring van stock levels are controlled to ensure First Time Fix targets.
  • Ensuring HSE laws are always adhered to.
  • Be prepared for overtime and the potential overnight stay.
  • Customer satisfaction is maintained.

To apply you MUST have or hold:

  • Good working knowledge and experience of field service engineering environment.
  • Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
  • Experience working with garage equipment is preferable.
  • Be self motivated and customer focussed.
  • Able to understand and follow procedures, working to instructions and specified standards.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime and Saturdays as and when required.
  • Hard working and committed to improving-
  • Confident when troubleshooting on site
  • Be prepared to work over time and the occasional over night stays away from home.
  • Able to work under your own initiative.
  • Full clean UK Drivers License
