The key duties of your new role will include:* Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with overall business objectives.* Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive performance and innovation.* Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement activities meet operational needs.* Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.* Prepare and present procurement reports and strategies to senior management. What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field and ideally, hold a professional qualification such as CIPS or MCIPS. You will also have held a similar role within a procurement function, preferably within a manufacturing environment. You will boast excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be proficient across all Microsoft platforms. You will also be an experienced line manager and be confident carrying out strategic procurement activities.What you'll get in return
