Workshop Fabricator / welder
Due to expansion and growth a permanent has arisen for Welder/ Fabricator . . Please note that the main base for this role will be Coatbridge
The Role:
Fabrication and Welding of Handrails, staircases, balustrades & structural steel in the workshop
Working hours:
Dayshift 07:00 to 4:30 Monday to friday + Overtime (Nightshift on offer at enhanced rates)
Rate of Pay: £20 per hour + time & a half overtime
Primary Objectives
Welding and fabrication in a workshop setting - Possible site work in future.
Working knowledge of structural / secondry steelwork welding & fabrication
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality. Working knowledge of structural fabrication works and standards.

· Ability to work well in a team
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years’ experience in the above role.
Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include:
· Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
· Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
· Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG)
· Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
· Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding
· Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.
Experienced working with a variety of materials to include mild steel, austenitic stainless steel and aluminium.
