A permanent position for a Welder/Fabricator has opened up in Glasgow due to company expansion.
The role involves fabrication and welding of various items such as benches, shafts, and rollers during day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and until 1 PM on Fridays.
The salary ranges from £15.50 to £16.50 per hour, depending on experience, with enhanced rates for overtime.
Candidates should have at least 4 years of relevant experience and a strong knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques, with a preference for an NC/HNC qualification.
A conscientious approach to work and the ability to collaborate well in a team are essential for this position.

Workshop Fabricator / welder

Due to expansion and growth apermanent position hasarisen for a Welder/ Fabricator in Glasgow.

The Role:

Fabrication and Welding of Benches, Shafts, Rollers, etc in the workshop

Working hours:

Dayshift07:30 to 4:00 Monday to Thursday, Friday 7.30am - 1pm

Rate of Pay:£15.50 - £16.50 per hour depending on Experience+ enhanced rates for overtime

Primary Objectives

Welding and fabrication in a workshop setting.

Working knowledge of surface welding and Fabrication to company and EN10-90 standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality.

Act with honesty, integrity and accountability

Ability to work well in a team

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years experience in the above role.

Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include:

Manual Metal Arc (MMA)

Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)

Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG)

Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)

Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding

Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.

Experienced working with a variety of materials to include mild steel, austenitic stainless steel and aluminium.
