Site Agent

First People Solutions is currently recruiting for a Site Agent to join a well-established civil engineering contractor, working on a significant Rail Civils Renewal Framework in Scotland. This is an excellent chance to be involved in key projects with values ranging from 500k to 3m. Your first project will be a Viaduct Improvement, playing an essential role in enhancing Scotland's rail infrastructure.

The Role:

As a Site Agent, you'll take responsibility for the planning and execution of site-based work across Scotland. You'll play a key part in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Day to day responsibilities would include:

• Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.
• Liaison with site staff and managing surveyor to ensure tender allowances are not exceeded.
• The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
• Ensuring that in conjunction with the site team changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
• The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Contracts Manager.

What We're Looking For:

• Degree / HNC or HND in civil engineering (or equivalent compensating experience in a technical engineering role)
• Experience as a Site Agent or minimum Sub Agent level in a rail/civil engineering contracting environment
• Experience working on multi-disciplinary rail/civils infrastructure projects for a civil engineering contractor
• SMSTS
