We’re hiring for a Mechanical Fitter to join a specialist manufacturer in Glossop.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, where you’ll be a key player in keeping operations running smoothly.

What’s on offer?

£35,000 - £40,000 per year
Monday – Friday 8:00pm – 4:00pm
25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?

Performing mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment
Installing and modifying pipework, valves, and mechanical systems
Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults to minimise downtime
Following planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and responding to breakdowns
Servicing and maintaining a range of pumps and other mechanical components
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

What do you need?

Experience as a Mechanical Fitter
Strong knowledge of pipework installation, pumps, and mechanical repairs
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
A proactive approach to problem-solving and equipment maintenance
Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (or time-served experience)
