Sonic Summary

We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Fitter for a prismatic machining and mechanical assembly business in Hyde, specializing in the Civil and Military Aerospace Industry.
Candidates must have over 4 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or repair shop environment.
An apprentice-trained engineering fitter with hands-on engineering fitting experience is required, along with knowledge of safety and quality systems.
The role involves working with high-speed 5-axis machining and requires skills in drilling, countersinking, and tapping.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate and benefits, with working hours from Monday to Thursday 7:45 AM to 5 PM and Friday 7:45 AM to 10:45 AM.

Mechanical Fitter

We are recruiting for a prismatic machining & mechanical assembly business for the Civil & Military Aerospace Industry. Our client specialise in high speed 5 axis soft & hard metal plus composite machining up to 3 meters in length. We are looking for a full time permanentMechanical Fitter to be based in Hyde.

Key skills required:

Over 4 years working experience as aMechanical Fitter
Apprentice trained engineering fitter
Experience of working in manufacturing or repair shop experience at least 2 years
Must have hands on engineering fitting experience over 2 years
Training in general safety and quality system awareness is required
Must have a good understanding and application of geometric dimensions, fits, and tolerances etc.
Able to drill, countersink, and tap using a radial drill and other tools
Must be organised and must be able to work to tight deadlines
Experience with low-volume, high value, defect-free is parts essential
Forklift Truck Licence beneficial, but not essential

Hours of work Monday to Thursday 7.45am 5pm and Friday 7.45am 10.45am - shift system
