Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for working closely with professional services and external departments to ensure budget ownership
- Handling month-end tasks, business plans, and various projects
- Engaging in business partnering activities by meeting with department heads and Managers on a regular basis
- Ensuring timely closure of month-end by workday number four, including reconciliation, new journals, capital grants, and commentaries
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities on an ad hoc basis
- Looking after professional services and managing project and business cases as required
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to manage budgets effectively and efficiently

Person Specification
- The candidate should be a qualified or finalist Accountant.
- Strong Excel skills, including knowledge of SUMIFS, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Previous experience in business partnering, utilising good communication skills.
- Knowledge of SQL would be advantageous for the role.
- A commercial element in their sector experience, with backgrounds in construction or retail management will be beneficial.
- The ability to work efficiently and hit the ground running is crucial.
