Interim Management Accountant - Gloucester - £250-£300 per day (Umbrella)

We are looking for an experienced Interim Management Accountant for a 2-3 month contract with an SME based in Gloucester. This is a hands-on role suited to a seasoned interim contractor who can quickly assess the finance function, take ownership of key processes, and drive improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Taking full ownership of month-end processes, including financial reporting and commentary
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy in financial data
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with accounting and reporting tasks
  • Managing transactional finance areas as needed (AP, AR, cash flow)
  • Driving process improvements and resolving finance-related issues efficiently

This is a pure interim role, requiring someone who can hit the ground running, bring a pragmatic, problem-solving approach, and provide immediate value. The business is actively improving its finance function, and this role will play a key part in stabilising operations and delivering results from day one.
