Spectrum Medical have their corporate headquarters in Staverton, Gloucester where you will work office based with the wider UK Finance team.

The Role:
The role of Assistant Accountant is a newly created role within the UK Finance team, due to growth. You will work as part of a small team, supporting on a wide variety of responsibilities including the accurate and timely processing of sales invoices, credit control and maintenance of accounts receivable records.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will include but not be limited to:
- Accurately processing financial transactions, including sales invoices and receipts.
- Managing credit control and handling all communication with customers regarding overdue invoices.
- Maintaining a central accounts inbox, responding to or escalating queries as required.
- Supporting with the preparation of financial reports, maintaining financial records and month end functions.
- Working closely with the Accounts Assistant, to support on more complicated purchase ledger queries.
- Liaise and form strong working relationships with other departments in the business.
Your Profile:
- Strong proven experience in a similar accounting position, with direct experience working in both purchase ledger and credit control.
- AAT Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification would be desirable but isn't essential.
- Multi-currency experience would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, with exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills.
- A team player, who is also able to work well autonomously.
Salary & benefits:
In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of between £30,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience plus benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 8% employer pension contribution, life assurance, income protection and more.
