Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Yate - Immediate Start
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs? Do you have an interest in young people's mental health? Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour?
A specialist school in Yate is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology or Criminology graduate, or an experienced Teaching Assistant, to gain valuable experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behaviour support while making a real difference in the lives of young people.
The school is seeking a confident and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children's emotional well-being and education. Ideally, you will have experience working with children in any capacity, such as voluntary work, babysitting, or coaching. Experience with challenging behaviour would be highly beneficial.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students aged 11 to 16 who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and behavioural challenges. Your role will involve helping pupils stay focused in lessons, managing behaviour, and supporting their emotional and mental well-being.
