Team Leader - 12-month Maternity Cover

Fixed Term Contract 12 months

Hybrid working - home and office

37 hours per week

Salary - £38,000 per annum

Working from home allowance of £26 per month

Our client is looking for an experienced Team Leader who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of 8 people.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide line management of the team carrying out regular performance reviews ensuring high levels of performance are delivered and maintained.
  • To manage and monitor workload, ensuring effective resources and processes are in place to deliver required outcomes.
  • To continuously develop the use of 'customer insight’ data to drive forward service improvement and desired customer outcomes
  • To create and maintain a customer-centric ethos and culture within the team, including staff development and coaching in valued customer experience.
  • To ensure a prompt response is provided by staff when dealing with enquires from customers, their representatives and internal/external partners

Key Skills

  • Proven experience of successfully leading, motivating and developing successful teams
  • Experience of using insight reports and/or interrogate systems to understand data and insight, and develop corresponding service improvement plans
  • Experience of dealing with customers sensitively in challenging situations
  • Solution focused with a positive attitude to learning from mistakes and managing change constructively and effectively
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus and an ability to understand the needs and perceptions of different stakeholders
  • Flexible, responsive and resilient with the ability to work on own initiative and to tight timescales
  • A strong understanding of data and performance reporting and analysis

Qualifications

  • A relevant Management qualification (e.g. ILM 3)
