THE JOB

You will report to the Director of Finance and oversee the completion of statutory and management accounts, regulatory, and financial returns for the Group. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a small finance team
  • Producing group budgets and management accounts
  • Preparing timely monthly management accounts with supporting narratives
  • Reporting on KPIs (monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Partnering with key budget holders
  • Preparing annual statutory accounts for the Group
  • Overseeing Value for Money reporting
  • Ensuring financial compliance and achieving strategic objectives

THE PERSON

We’re seeking a qualified accountant (or a finalist) with knowledge of social housing or a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in delivering annual financial accounts and regulatory returns
  • Expertise in managing finance teams in a housing or similar environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
