We are looking for an Area Chef for a premium quick service restaurant company operating extremely high volume fast paced restaurants and that is expanding.

Due to this expansion and to support their existing and new restaurants they are looking to recruit an experienced area chef with a background managing high volume branded kitchens. The role will involve extensive travel and overnight stays.

You need a driving licence and will ideally be based in the Gloucestershire/North Bristol area.

The company is expanding and you will play a key role in adding value and shaping the offer.

Role - Area Chef

  • Oversee, support, coach and lead the head chefs and kitchen teams
  • Recruit and train new and existing chefs into the business
  • Open new kitchens from scratch
  • Implement company systems, procedures and policies
  • Oversee stock results across the company
  • Ensure GP's, costs and labour budgets are in line
  • Work in a hands-on capacity
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and food quality
  • Work closely with and establish relationships with the FOH teams

Attributes - Area Chef

  • Experience as an area/multi-site chef in high volume high street branded restaurants
  • New opening experience is essential
  • Strong financial & commercial acumen - controlling GP's, labour, costs & budgets
  • Excellent people, leadership, organisation, administration, communication and people management skills
  • A hands-on lead from the front approach and a very keen eye for detail
  • An intrinsic understanding of legislation & compliance
  • Strong coaching, performance management and people development skills
  • A positive and outgoing personality and outlook
  • IT literate - working with systems & process
