A small alternative provision in Gloucester, catering for Key Stage 3 students. The school provides education for students who are at risk of permanent exclusion. Small classes allow for targeted teaching that meets individual needs.
The Role
A full-time role, providing general classroom support and leading maths interventions. You will need to have strong behaviour management skills and a good understanding of how to support students' mental health needs.
Main responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of the manager
- Support students during lessons
- Lead some Maths lessons when requested
- Lead Maths interventions
Essential Criteria/Skills
- HLTA qualification
- Very good level of spoken and written English
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Strong Maths skills
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience working with Key Stage 3 pupils
- Previous experience teaching Maths lessons
